Mason City Public Transit Ridership Campaign
Students from the School of Journalism & Mass Communication developed a strategic marketing and communications campaign to attract new riders for the Mason City’s public transit system, using creative outreach materials and various communications platforms to reach target audiences.
Building on research conducted by students from UI Tippie School of Business in the Fall 2016 semester, Mason City officials seek to market the public transit system to attract new riders. Students recommended marketing and communications tools to educate local residents about public transit services and encourage them to take advantage of the low-cost, energy-saving system.
