Sustainability Marketing Plan
Students in the Tippie College of Business Marketing Institute partnered with three Sioux City based community organizations that promote sustainability to better coordinate the organizations' activities and messaging to the Sioux City public.
These organizations were the Farmers' Market, the Environmental Advisory Board, and the Siouxland Regional Transit System (SRTS). As a major goal of the project was to increase public participation in these programs, students started their work by identifying the best methods to reach the audiences of each organization and raise awareness of the services they offer. Students then created a social media strategy for the Farmers' Market, branding materials for the Siouxland Regional Transit System, and a sustainability marketing plan for the Environmental Advisory Board. They recommended that the three programs re-brand themselves under the umbrella of sustainability to enhance their ability to coordinate their activities, market themselves to the public, and fulfill their missions of increasing quality of life in the city.
